MC Ron G

MC Ron G (Minister Ronald Edward Sneed Jr.) Born in Rochester NY on February 16, 1989 to Ron Sneed Sr. and Laurie Floyd (Baker). He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 18; yet his earliest memory of feeling the presence of God and the calling to greater took place at the age of 8 while he was a member of New Jerusalem spiritual church. Though he cannot recall the sermon that was preached that day, he remembers feeling a tug to give his life to God.  While attending that church he became a part of a youth rap group whose name was  FB "Forever Blessed" along with his cousin Elder Eric Floyd. Soon after the Lord blessed Elder Floyd with the vision to form the "Young & Blessed" and in doing so inspired the Rochester native to began recording his first mixtape; along with his cousin Cequan "CSF" Floyd. As his passion for music grew, so did his willingness and desire to perform. His uncle Michael Floyd overheard a song he wrote titled "Jesus is boss" and blessed the young rapper with the opportunity  to perform. Upon witnessing the power of God when he ministered through gospel rap he officially gave his life to the Lord.
He was baptized at Calvary spiritual church and begin to discover that there was a greater call on his life. He served as an usher and became interested in youth ministry, yet at the time he did not fully understand what ministry was. He continued to use his talent of rapping, and was given the name MC Ron G in high school by his good friend Jeremy Hendrix. Assuming the name The Roc City Hero, his father (Ron Sneed Sr.) Suggested he form a group with he himself, Michael Floyd and Jaquann Jones as musicians and be called "MC Ron G and The Roc City Hero Band" during this time he realized his rapping was not just a talent and it was not just a skill, but it was a gift from God and upon that day His grandmother Elder Lillian Floyd told him his name means "Magnifying Christ Ron's Gift"
In 2010 he graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associates in science. During his second year at MCC he was blessed to befriend Torrance Jones (www.TorranceJRJones.Com) who now works as the Chaplain for Good News jail and prison ministry for the Monroe and Wayne County jail. The brotherhood that formed has led to great advances in music and ministry. Pastor Jones also known as T-Keys joined the band along with Michael Floyd, Cequan Floyd, and Ron Sneed Sr. and they became The Roc City Heroes. In 2012 MC Ron G released his first album entitled "P.O.E. Power Over Everything" which is sold everywhere online music is sold.
The Roc City Hero is now a member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Apostle Joyce Young. It was at this church where he fully excepted the call to word ministry. The now Minister Ronald Sneed Jr. was licensed to preach August of 2016 and was appointed to the position of Triedstone youth minister. Only God knows what the future holds, but one thing that is certain... This "HERO" lives "In The Potter's Hand."
